old tour dates
Question: hey gman! first of all, what you do here and on your site is awesome, and i'm sure brad would appreciate you keeping sublime alive. i've spent much of my short life with sublime. i first heard them at age 8, and since then i've proceeded to learn almost all of their songs on guitar, bass, and drums. as a guitarist of 6 years, brad has greatly inspired me musically and emotionally. i don't know what it is, but i feel such a strong connection to him/his music even though he passed away when i was 1. i was browsing the internet the other day looking for old sublime tour dates, and i was wondering if they ever played a show in baltimore. thanks again for being awesome and keeping sublime alive!
Answer: Hey Emily!
Thank you so much for the Props! I love doing what I do & most of that "love" is because I get such killer feedback from people like you. I took a stance early on (in like 1989) that "sublime" was the best band ever & that Bradley was a complete Genius. I'm glad that I wasn't wrong... that would have been embarrassing!! lol
Then, when Bradley died, I decided to devote all of the time that I could to let the rest of the World know how sublime were the best ever & how much of a complete Genius (not to mention, a GREAT guy) Brad was. He was talented like a Cat is when you drop it upside-down from a high place. They twist and turn real quick and always land on their feet... AND,... it seems "effortless"... completely innate; not "learned".
That was Bradley. He would do things;... everything,... with such ease that it didn't even look difficult when in fact (as we all know) it was almost impossible to imitate or even "do" ANYWHERE near how HE did it!
Well, I didn't want this answer to be TOO short,... but; unfortunately, to my knowledge, "sublime" never played a show in Baltimore. I do know that they played around that area & all over the East Coast, but no Baltimore. ;-(
Here is a list of the Gigs from as early as 1988 on through 1996 & the "Last Show". Enjoy!~
