Question: I just bought one of the 40 oz to freedom cd's off of ebay. I was wondering which pressing this cd was and how rare it is, if at all, also the value of it. Since it is different then MCA recordings.

Answer:

That's the Australian import of "40 oz. to Freedom". It's not that rare unless you got the FIRST pressing which looks like this. This thing sells for A GRIP. I've seen it go on ebay for over $400!!!!!

The all black CD with the white silkscreen is the SECOND pressing & the more common one; and I believe the one that you have.

The one that I showed you is INCREDIBLY rare. That is the FIRST pressing on LIB records and there were only 1000 of these made.

The SECOND pressing is the black CD on Mushroom Liberation records. There were quite a few presses of that one & they are still available today.

They both have the same track listing but the FIRST press is the one to look for, and you'll need some REAL good luck to find it.

I hope this helps.
